[VOTE] Release Apache Hop 2.19.0-rc1
Hi All,
I would like to thank everyone that has worked on this 2.19.0 release making it the biggest release we have ever had.
This release includes a massive amount of bug fixes and new features. I will be highlighting some but it won't be the full list.
New features:
• A marketplace has been added to Apache Hop
• Native Spark engine
• Databricks File system support
• Append support for all cloud file systems
• support to open and edit filetypes (YAML, sh, bat,...)
• SFTP metadata type to use it everywhere
• Split view in the UI
• Redis input/output
• VCard support
Notable Bug Fixes:
• Hop server fixes and cleanup (memory leak, resource export,....)
• Shell states and positioning
• Variable/project reload issues
• Unit test bugs and improvements
• Database object quoting issues resolved
• Unzip action performance issues
• performance tweaks and improvements
Build instructions can be found in the README included.
The tag to be voted on is 2.19.0-rc1 (commit 4643615):

I followed the steps in the "Checking A Release" guide [1], no issues
found.

Hi Fançois,
We did indeed add a lot of UI testing and as such this is considered normal.
I had no play in their implementation but I personally think it's pretty
cool that we have these tests.
