Velocity shall hanlde double, or better, BigNumber

I noticed that in:
org.apache.velocity.runtime.parser.node.ASTLTNode
The value is supposed to be Integer.

Is this a bug or a feature ?

Naturally, Velocity shall handle comparison of
floating numbers. Better, it shall be able to
handle big Number.
