   Switching the build image to Node 24 while still using webpack 4 is likely to break container builds: webpack 4 relies on MD4 hashing (blocked under OpenSSL 3 unless the legacy provider is enabled), and recent Node releases increasingly restrict/disable `--openssl-legacy-provider`. If webpack 5 migration isn't part of this PR, consider pinning the Docker build stage to a Node LTS version known to work with webpack 4 (e.g. Node 20).
