XMLLayout and HTMLLayout !!!

Hi 

Can anyone tell me  which appender is best suited for HTMLLayout and XMLLayout.
Can we have a HTML or XMLLayout for a RollingFileAppender?
If yes then how should the xml configuration file look like?
