[jira] [Created] (RANGER-3904) Ranger Policy Search Usability Improvements

Dhaval Rajpara created RANGER-3904:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Ranger Policy Search Usability Improvements
                 Key: RANGER-3904
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-3904
             Project: Ranger
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Ranger
            Reporter: Dhaval Rajpara
            Assignee: Dhaval Rajpara

I was trying to look up policies in our test cluster by database. I opened the policy search and typed "database" but nothing came up. The attribute is named "hive database" and the search strictly uses a prefix.

Then I tried to type hive database, but I went too fast and discovered that the search does not accept multiple words.

Please update the policy search box at least to do a substring search, and possibly to allow for multiple words.

New feature Request for Policy search filter.
