   Addressed before this issue was filed, by PR #1945 (merged 2026-07-07): IpcClient.getJarPath now looks up the resource explicitly and throws IllegalStateException with a clear message when it is absent, instead of failing with an NPE from getResource().toString(). Closing as fixed.
