[GitHub] [nuttx] lucasssvaz opened a new pull request, #9242: arch/xtensa/esp32[s2]: Define syscall table to enable using ROM functions
lucasssvaz opened a new pull request, #9242:
URL: https://github.com/apache/nuttx/pull/9242
## Summary
This MR aims to enable the use of ROM functions on ESP32 and ESP32-S2.
This is done by creating the required syscall stubs tables and add the missing symbols to the linker scripts.
## Impact
Adds support for using ROM functions when needed. Shouldn't impact existing code.
## Testing
Tested locally using `ostest`.

The use of the name "system call" seems odd and somewhat inappropriate. A system call normally refers to the application interface to the operating system and often involves call gates. For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_call
I would have recommended using a name like ROM call rather than system call. The name ROM call is used for other architectures for this kind of interface.
