[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-14790) Migrate solr/docker usage documentation to the ref-guide

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-14790?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17320475#comment-17320475 ]

Cassandra Targett commented on SOLR-14790:
------------------------------------------

It's been a while since we talked about this and at this point the Docker stuff is merged with Solr's git repo, and the project has split from Lucene. What might we want to do for this now?

[~houston], you mentioned last August that you thought the docs should be fully migrated to the Ref Guide. Would you still like to do that? I assume you mean moving the files from the current {{solr/docker/}} directory to {{solr/solr-ref-guide/src/}}, and also converting them to .adoc files?

> Project: Solr
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Components: Docker, documentation
> Affects Versions: main (9.0)

> Documentation of the Solr docker image usage is currently provided in markdown files under solr/docker. These were mainly copied from the [https://github.com/docker-solr/docker-solr] repository.
> This documentation should be modernized and migrated to live in the ref guide so that users have easy access to the information.
