[jira] [Resolved] (CASSANDRA-4791) When a node bootstrap in a multi-datacenter environment it should try to get data only from local nodes

Jonathan Ellis resolved CASSANDRA-4791.
---------------------------------------

    Resolution: Not A Problem

It currently bootstraps from the "closest" node according to the snitch which should give you what you want.

But, see also CASSANDRA-2434.

> When a node bootstraps, in a multi-datacenter environment, currently it is streaming data from any node available. But, to cut down the intra datacenter traffic, it should first try to stream data within the same datacenter or there should be a flag to explicitly limit it to stream data from its own data center.
