[jira] Resolved: (CONFIGURATION-227) ConfigurationDynaBean does not work well with all types of configurations

Oliver Heger resolved CONFIGURATION-227.
----------------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: Nightly Builds
       Resolution: Fixed

A fix was applied that improves the compatibility of ConfigurationDynaBean with other configuration types, namely hierarchical configurations (there is also a new unit test class running all test cases on a XMLConfiguration). The only requirement is that the configuration uses the dot (".") as property delimiter. For hierarchical configurations that make use of a special expression engine this could be a problem.

> The current implementation of ConfigurationDynaBean makes some assumptions about the underlying Configuration object that are not met by all configuration implementations. Especially setting values for indexed properties by calling getList() and manipulating mapped properties through a subset configuration do not work for configurations derived from HierarchicalConfiguration.
