deploying tomcat with apache from rpms...

I've downloaded the following rpms from falsehope:

tomcat-mod-3.3-m3.1
tomcat-3.3-m3.1
tomcat-webapps-3.3-m3.1
xerces-j-1.4.3-1

I'm running apache 1.3.20 (from stock redhat rpm) and have installed
the IBM JDK from rpm:  IBMJava2-SDK-1.3-8.0.

I'm trying to deploy an app that works on a very similar box using an
apache/resin setup, but am running into difficulties configuring
tomcat, etc.

I get the following in my mod_jk.log:
