Using svn
Hi,
I had downloaded SVN from net and installed it successfully on my machine.
But still I get following error when I try to download a source code from
net.
$ svn checkout http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/jackrabbit/trunk/jackrabbit
svn: PROPFIND request failed on '/repos/asf/jackrabbit/trunk/jackrabbit'
svn: PROPFIND of '/repos/asf/jackrabbit/trunk/jackrabbit': could not connect
to
server (http://svn.apache.org)
Can someone give me any pointers for this issue.

Can you browse to <http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/jackrabbit/trunk>
using a webbrowser? If you can, there is probably a proxy inbetween
your computer and svn.apache.org that is blocking the PROPFIND
request.

No, you don't have to have username and password options, if they're
needed Subversion will prompt you for them.

I believe before 'checkout' you have to do dashdash --username me --password
xxx is your repo readable to the world?
