4.6 blockers

Just checking JIRA, we have 5 blockers for 4.6:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8920 - not assigned
KVM agent cannot communicate with server on port 8250

The other 4 are assigned and being worked on.

-Boris from pcextreme tested master (4.6.0) yesterday in his KVM/basic zone setup and he reported no issues.
-Nux reported an issue during testing which might be due to the Jenkins jobs not having run for a week.

@Raja could you send us the latest BVT results with added details on failed tests ? that would give us a somewhat compete view of the current state of 4.6.

Wilder,

As mentioned in the issue, cloudmonkey doesn't succeed in adding the storage either, though the error is slightly different.
I've also added a screen recording of the UI procedure, if it helps anyone to understand better.

Hi Lucian,

I’m testing Master on a daily basis, deploying Advanced DCs with KVM running on CentOS 7.1 (that’s a difference). No problems with storage so far.

Anyway, I will try via the UI just in case.

If you check the log file, I don't think it matters really that it was done via the UI, could be wrong though.

We haven’t tested the UI for a while! All advanced/basic zones I have created are done via Marvin.

Will add that to the list for next tests.

I built fresh RPMs from today's master, but the same story. I created an issue for it:

I wish I could test further, but can't get past setting up secondary storage.

As per the latest BVT reports, CLOUDSTACK-8876 should also be a blocker.

Indeed, this was created over night and is also against 4.5
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8920

We should not consider that a blocker, as I have done this many times without issues. Will comment and ask for more details.

We are able to use ACS + KVM for a while and I have not faced such a problem as described on CLOUDSTACK-8920  

Just as a reminder, we have several tests executed agains KVM with ACS 4.6 on Sunday… all went fine.
