SOAP and cookies

Hi,
I am using cocoon-2.1.5.1 on Solaris and attempting to talk to a .NET 
server using the SOAP logicsheet.
This server  has a Login transaction, and tracks the session with a cookie.

My logon is successful, but the cookie does not appear to be returning 
to the host with subsequent transactions. Do cookies not work with this 
method? If not, should I be building my SOAP transactions some other way?
