Bugs in fop

As this is the developers list and I am only a user I am not sure if my
posts are welcome.

I am trying to user the current release 0.0.12 and have encountered the
following problems

1) It is hard to find what is going on. A list of reported bugs and what
is being worked on would be useful.

2) I tried the option to call fop with 3 arguments (xml, xsl and pdf) as
described in merthod 2 of http://xml.apache.org/fop/running.html but it
seems to insist upon 2

3) I tried the viewer option and discovered that it is looking for the
../viewer/images directory. This is somewhat restrictive. In fact the
directory name is Images (I presume this is being developed on some OS
which does not understand case). It should be possible to specify the
location of the directory.

4) I find that some output looks bad (overlapping text) - how do I find
out if the fault lies in the .fo file or in fop? I presume that the viewer
facility of fop shares a lot of code with the normal operation of fop. The
.fo file was generated by xt using a DocBook dtd and Norman Walsh's style
sheets as xalan seems unable to cope with docbook for the moment. I guess
this means either reading the .fo file or using an alternative to fop -
and I have found passivetex very hard work.

Your posts are welcome. Thanks for taking the time to write down your feedback (and
not just deleting fop.jar)

They can be found in the file STATUS in the CVS version. It tooks some time to put up
the website, but in a not too distant future this information will be integrated into the
website.

I am afraid that's a bug of version 12.0. I hope an update fixing this bug will be out soon.

Are you talking about problems with the viewer (there is a one with overlapping texts) or
do you have the same problem with the output in a pdf file?
