[jira] [Commented] (PROTON-1140) [proton-c] Always set process name and process id as connection properties

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PROTON-1140?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15728984#comment-15728984 ]

Ken Giusti commented on PROTON-1140:
------------------------------------

Is this a request to have the proton-c pn_connection_t constructor create a default a connection (not message) property value containing process id and name?

Not sure if want.

IMHO this should be left to the user of the library to determine what should go into the connection properties. Automagically stuffing in the process name and id could result in an information leak that would be undesirable in some applications.

> The connection initiating peer must set message properties of process name and process id. The receiving peer will be able to access these properties using pn_connection_remote_properties(connection)
