Mail task unreliable with (large?) attachments

Summary: Mail task unreliable with (large?) attachments
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5Beta1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jrussell@stanfordalumni.org

I've automated my build process and at the end I'm sending a notification email
with several jars attached using the fileset capability of the mail task. (I
haven't tried sending just a simple text message.)

The attachments add up to about 18MB.

I send the email to multiple recipients. Some people get the message, some
people get a malformatted email message.

I don't have JavaMail set up. It tells me that it fails to send via MimeMail.
It doesn't give me any other failure messages so I assume it is sending a
message using its second strategy (uu encoding).
