Question regarding servicemix-http
I want to use servicemix WS_Notification support to provide
notifications to external consumers.
The example, which I've run, shows the use of servicemix-http to
provide the binding needed to allow consumers to subscribe via SOAP.
I'm very unfamiliar with servicemix-http, but it appears to use an
embedded Jetty server. I'm deploying servicemix in a war in Tomcat,
so I'd like to avoid embedding a Jetty instance in Tomcat. To add to
the issue, I'm using JCA Flow which makes the using the httpBinding
Component problematic as well. Am I understanding servicemix-http
correctly? Is there a good alternative way to do this?
As always, thank you for your help,
BJ

I've been doing work to resolve this same issue for our company. We're going
to need to deploy Servicemix in a war and use the appserver provided web
container as opposed to Jetty. My solution was to create a new
HttpSoapInOutBinding that I could point to a target component (as opposed to
a target service). This allows one instance of SpringBindingServlet to bind
to more than one service and provide wsdls for each service it's bound to.
It's not a general solution yet in that it only allows you to expose Jsr181
component endpoints, but I don't believe it would be terribly difficult to
extend it to support other target component types (e.g. jca) as well.

Sorry for the confusion - no problem with servicemix-http and jca, I
was referring to the httpBinding component in 'components' which uses
sendSync.
I'll look a bit deeper into servicemix-http - thanks again for your
help.

We plan to provide a better way to integrate servicemix-http in existing web
servers. If you want to work on that, I will gladly help
you.
What is your problem when using servicemix-http on a jca flow ?
Cheers,
