Hi Vijay,

you are using a very old version of the eclipse plugin.

The current version is 0.1.0. please delete

> org.apache.avalon.MerlinDeveloperCore - 0.0.2
> org.apache.avalon.MerlinDeveloperLaunch - 0.0.2
> org.apache.avalon.MerlinDeveloperUI - 0.0.1

in your plugin directory.

You should use the following download link:

http://www.apache.org/~oberhack/updates/studio

go to Help->Software Updates->Find and Install...

Now select "Search for new features to install"

Click "New Remote Site.." and enter the url above.

Unselect the "ignore feature not applicable to this environment" !!

Now you can install the plugin.

Hope that helps

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I tried that.. The xconf file is anyway created, No difference..

But I found another behaviour if I do a RunAs and click on Merlin Container,
there are no messages
but when I do a Run->Merline Conainer (from the Run Dialog), then I get the
following error

ERROR: Launch: ToolsLibrary location not found.

I checked the versions in the eclipse about box the versions are as follows
org.apache.avalon.MerlinDeveloperCore - 0.0.2
org.apache.avalon.MerlinDeveloperLaunch - 0.0.2
org.apache.avalon.MerlinDeveloperUI - 0.0.1

Hi Vijay,

you have to open the HelloComponent.java, make a change and save the
HelloComponent.java file. This will generate the HelloComponent.xinfo.

Now you can run the block.

I will "auto build" the .xinfo while project creation in the next
release.

I will check it under m8.

But it is intended to run under 3.0 final.

are you sure about the version 0.0.0.1? It should be 0.1.0.
