[jira] Closed: (JAXME-43) xmlns="http://ws.apache.org/jaxme/namespaces/jaxme2/configuration" is not a valid defintion location.

Jochen Wiedmann closed JAXME-43:
--------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
I can't understand, what the choice between an XML
element or an XML complex type limits your ability
to implement IoC (I do use it like that every day),
but here's my thoughts on it:
The main difference between an element and a complex
type is the formers additional name. For obvious reasons, a name is required in the marshalling process. In the unmarshalling the element name is
used to instantiate the proper result bean.
Basically, you are quite able to use the generated
classes from the primer example for marshalling and unmarshalling. However, you are simply unable to achieve that with the official JAXB API. The control
flow in JAXB is clearly directed by the element name.
If you find a different initialization scheme, JaxMe
is open for that. However, AFAIK, nobody is interested
in the use case, except you. In other words, it is
up to you, to provide API suggestions and patches. The jaxme-dev mailing list is the proper place for things
like that.
