Solr optimize deleting docs

Hi,

I have NumDocs: 17051329, deleted docs:2, Segment Count :21
Then after hitting optimize
NumDocs:7260056, deleted docs:0, Segment Count: 3.

Why docs are deleted without being marked for deletion?

Full import was in process so num docs changed.
