[users@httpd] Two http instances
Hai again
I can be more specific about my earlier mail. I made a
copy of httpd.conf and also the httpd script and tried
to run the two instances of http but the second one showed
me an error.
Starting httpd2: (98)Address already in use: make_sock:
could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:443 no listening sockets
available, shutting down
What do i do
Thanks again
Akhil

What happens is that apache tryes to read the httpd.conf file that is in
the directory in wich it was compiled ie. /usr/local/apache/conf.
You should run the second instance of your apache this way:
httpd -d path_of_your_second_httpd.conf
Or in this way:
httpd -d directory_where_is_your_second_apache
directory_where_is_your_second_apache should have a directory conf. And
inside conf should be the second httpd.conf
Luis
The directory_where_is_your_second_apache
