[jira] [Created] (MATH-838) Move method "probability(double)" to base class

Gilles created MATH-838:
---------------------------

Summary: Move method "probability(double)" to base class
                 Key: MATH-838
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MATH-838
             Project: Commons Math
          Issue Type: Task
    Affects Versions: 3.0
            Reporter: Gilles
            Assignee: Gilles
            Priority: Trivial
             Fix For: 3.1

Method "probability(double)" is trivially defined ("return 0") in all currently implemented distribution classes.
It could be defined in the base class.

Phil Steitz commented on MATH-838:
----------------------------------

I assume you mean *real* distribution classes and the base class is AbstractRealDistribution. Then I see no problem with this change.

bq. I assume you mean real distribution [...]

Yes; method "probability(double)" only exists in "RealDistribution".
