[jira] [Created] (HDDS-5851) Define a PutBlock/maxBuffer fixed boundary for streaming writes

Shashikant Banerjee created HDDS-5851:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Define a PutBlock/maxBuffer fixed boundary for streaming writes
                 Key: HDDS-5851
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-5851
             Project: Apache Ozone
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: Ozone Client
            Reporter: Shashikant Banerjee
            Assignee: Sadanand Shenoy

Currently, putBlock call gets executed only during close() when a block is written. A block can be 256 MB in length and for more finer granularity on how much of data needs to be retained as well as retried on different set of datanodes, it needs a defined putBlock boundary as well as maxBuffer boundary to be defined similar to Async Path.
