j2ee.jar - need JMS services from another server

I need to get JMS (J2EE) services from another server - and accordingly need a number of classes in the j2ee.jar. Apparently, one is not able to add this jar to the common/lib directory because of conflicts with some of the Tomcat jars having duplicate classes.

Is there a "standard" (or customary) approach to make J2EE classes available to a Tomcat deployed application?

Thx,
Marvin Toll
