   I agree with you. Let's just add the new retry count property with some explanation on how it works, and when to configure it. Let's keep whether to call `reconnect` as it is.
   
   Also, I'd suggest renaming the property from "Max Connection Retries" to "Max Client Error Retries". Just to avoid confusion around retry and reconnect, and making it more self descriptive implying that it affects only 4xx responses.
   
   Would you be able to update this PR with above?
