[jira] [Created] (DRILL-1624) JSON fragments in documentation contain smart quotes

Chris Westin created DRILL-1624:
-----------------------------------

Summary: JSON fragments in documentation contain smart quotes
                 Key: DRILL-1624
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-1624
             Project: Apache Drill
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Documentation
            Reporter: Chris Westin

I was trying to register a file system plugin mapping as per https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/DRILL/Registering+a+File+System , and was using the JSON there as boilerplate (I just edited the file system path). I kept getting mysterious failures to set this up in the web UI. After mucking around with it in various ways, I finally noticed in Eclipse that the JSON string contains smart quotes, which was causing a JSON parse failure.

The sample fragments on this page need to be fixed; others should be verified. http://jsonlint.com provides a convenient way to validate JSON fragments.
