can start please help!!
i just subscribe to this mailing list. thanks in advance
some can help me, please, i installed apache_1.3.22 but for some reason
doesn' work.
after i start it.
[root@mail bin]# ./apachectl start
./apachectl start: httpd started
[root@mail bin]#
i go to my browser, but nothing.
and i apply this again to see what happend.
[root@mail bin]# ./apachectl stop
./apachectl stop: httpd (pid 15914?) not running
[root@mail bin]#
and tells me is not running and i don't understand why.
i look throu the archive, but seems there's nothing relate to solve this
matter.
also apply this command but nothing
[root@mail bin]# ./httpd
[root@mail bin]#
when i got ps -e i don't see running.

There is a minor bug in 1.3.22 that means it will not start with the
default User and Group directives. Either:
- install apache 1.3.23 which has fixed the bug
or:
- set the User and Group directives to a real user id
