http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41862

           Summary: Invalid host and port
           Product: JMeter
           Version: 2.2
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: HTTP
        AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: calin.pavel@gmail.com

For a normal HTTP request like this:

GET /myApp/service HTTP/1.1
Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/x-
shockwave-flash, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint,
application/msword, */*
Accept-Language: en-us
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1;
snprtz|T04029265762739)
Host: myHostName:9090
Connection: Keep-Alive
Cookie: JSESSIONID=ADCC5E8DE48131405C354933618460A5

hostName and port where request should be redirected are dicovered incorrect.
JMeter tries to find host and port only into URL, whithout considering HOST
field of header.
In this way the hostName and port where request will be redirected is wrong.

Not entirely sure I follow: are you saying that JMeter is handling redirects
incorrectly? If so, I think this was fixed in SVN, and will be in the current
nightly builds.

Or are you saying that JMeter does not handle the "Host" header correctly if
you provide one via the HTTP Header Manager? If so, then that is really not a
JMeter problem.

Yes, I'm saying that Jmeter does not handle requests correct.
I'll try to check if this was corrected into SVN.

Thank you for quick answer.
