disabling the Beehive website on incubator.apache.org

All--

I'm planning on disabling the website at
http://incubator.apache.org/beehive and replacing it with an HTML file
that will forward / redirect a web browser to the new
http://beehive.apache.org website.

Let me know if you've got any concerns with / comments about this.

  Thanks!

Eddie

All--

This is done now and the old content has been removed from
http://incubator.apache.org/beehive. Redirects should be in place to
send old URLs to the new locations.

Send mail to dev@ if you've got questions and file JIRA bugs if you
see problems.

  Thanks!

Eddie

Looks like this is mostly working now -- accessing http://i.a.o/b
will redirect to http://b.a.o/. URLs like this:

    http://incubator.apache.org/beehive/system-controls/jms/jmsDoc.html

are also redirecting correctly into:

    http://beehive.apache.org/releases/v1.0m1/system-controls/jms/jmsDoc.html

Of course, there is still the issue of the DTD and CC, but that should
be resolved shortly.

If you see any issues, please file JIRA bugs. Thanks!

Eddie

All--

Just an update here. I'm working on getting the mappings correct to
take http://i.a.o/beehive URLs to http://b.a.o/. Because the
structure of the web site has changed to encapsulate the release doc,
this mapping is a bit more complicated than the usual redirect.

So, the http://i.a.o/b website may go up and down today as I mess this up. :)

Leo--

Excellent! Thanks for the pointer; I'll give that a spin.

Hi!

While I'm subscribed here (just making sure this baby keeps running) I
figured I'd point out you can use a .htaccess file with Redirect (or
RedirectMatch) directives, that means all URLs keep working 'n stuff, not
just your front page. Lots of examples all around on people.apache.org:/www/

Cheers!
