for hbase we have not updated yetus to use the status thing instead of
comments, so we would not have hit YETUS-1059 yet. That's an
unfortunate limitation because I'd really like to stop using the
comments.

I'm debating letting this RC expire and not rolling a new release until YETUS-1059 is dealt with (I'm sort of surprised no one here has really complained that hard about it but I guess no one is paying much attention?). Also gives us a chance to yank out more deprecated/unused stuff (e.g., findbugs, GitHub user/password, all of the jython stuff, etc). It means we will miss Halloween though. :(

shoot man I totally missed this vote call because out of all the yetus
related emails *only this one* got flagged by gmail as "not
important".
I'll get a vote in this evening. Probably worth pinging a few folks
off channel or via private@ in case others also use gmail for reading
the list and missed this.

Some special notes for this particular release:
* A reminder: There are a _lot_ of incompatible/surprising changes. Go through the release notes and note things that require expansion. (We can always update them post-release for the website.) For those using GitHub tokens, you _really_ _really_ want to switch to a Github App token if you are using a GitHub Personal Access Token in order to get repo:status write capability.
* The verification steps don't cover the GitHub action because we need a container for it. The container can't get built until we do a release. Hooray catch-22!
