> Scala 2.12 is out. This comes with various new features, as well as improved macros. We should investigate if this is worth the upgrade and test it out. Note that 2.12 requires Java 8. We require Java 8 due to some encoding bugs, but we could theoretically support Java7 by detected Java version and taking different code paths where the bug exists.
