Running Impala on a non-CDH Hadoop cluster
Hi,
Is there any documentation or information about running Impala in a
standard, non-CDH Hadoop deployment? All of the documentation I see
pertains to running it in Cloudera's CDH. I do see some discussion of
creating such documentation here:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/IMPALA/Documentation, but
haven't been able to find any generic docs.
Thanks,
Russell

Hi Russell! This is something that is in progress now. The docs are in
the master branch of the repo, in the docs/ folder, but they are still
somewhat CDH-focused. At least two committers are going to be working
on changing that, but your help is also welcomed!
