[D] [iOs] [Maui] { "Operation is not supported on this platform."} [logging-log4net]

GitHub user rokmeglicbit created a discussion: [iOs] [Maui] { "Operation is not supported on this platform."}

I was wondering what is this message in our logs "{ "Operation is not supported on this platform."}" and it is from this call.

`var logRepository = LogManager.GetRepository(a);`

It is not a problem, it was just wierd for me, the try/catch did not catch this and one of the exceptions handlers did.
The problem was it had no stack trace ... so it took me some time to figure it out.

```
AppDomain currentDomain = AppDomain.CurrentDomain;
currentDomain.UnhandledException += CurrentDomain_UnhandledException;
currentDomain.FirstChanceException += CurrentDomain_FirstChanceException;
```

It's not an issue/bug, it is just sharing the info.
Thank you for all the good work.

`<PackageReference Include="log4net" VersionOverride="3.4.1-preview.1" />
`
... I still get the same message.

... but I removed all the calls to log4net and the error still occurs, so I think the same error happens somewhere else as during debug, the breakpoint at previous line which produced this error at log4net is not being called.

I think we can close this as solved for log4net, but not solved for me :)

Currently it's not possible to avoid the first chance exception. It gets caught and further attempts do not throw.

Hi @rokmeglicbit,

can you test with https://github.com/apache/logging-log4net/releases/tag/rc%2F3.4.1-preview.1 ?
I think we solved this in the latest preview.

Jan
