CVS HEAD contains support for the concept of ResourceCollections, including
fileset et al. The <sort> resource collection should satisfy this request.
Initially only a few tasks--concat, pathconvert, length and
resourcecount--support these directly; however tasks that accept paths
should
automagically work with filesystem-based resource collections wrapped
in paths.
Feel welcome to submit patches to add ResourceCollection support to
your
favorite task!
