Using an existing databse

Is there a possibility to use an already existing (mySQL-) database and its
tables in TDK
in terms of letting Torque (auto)generate all the necessary BaseXX, XXPeer,
XXMapBuilder etc. files?

If not automatically possible through Torque:
how can we generate these files on our own, i.e. where in these files
is the realation to the database name stored?
Can we just copy them form the example and use our table names in the files?
