[jira] Commented: (LEGAL-49) Status of LGPL v3 as an ASF project dependency

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-49?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12732748#action_12732748 ]

Ralph Goers commented on LEGAL-49:

But it doesn't say anything about being used as an optional dependency. I don't know that this should be specific to the LGPL, but resolved.html should mention optional dependencies somewhere.

> JMeter bug 47166 suggests adding Adobe BlazeDs as a compile/runtime dependency:
> According to http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/blazeds/License the software is licensed under GNU Lesser General Public License Version 3.
> The Third-Party Licensing Policy at http://www.apache.org/legal/3party.html mentions LGPL v2.1 but does not mention LGPL v3
> Does LGPL v3 have the same restrictions for use in ASF projects?
> Or are the restrictions on it more - or less - strict?
