Konstantin Gribov commented on TIKA-1253:
-----------------------------------------
I've started a thread about logging improving: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.apache.tika.devel/10653, but haven't receive answer from [~gagravarr] yet.
As TIKA-1258 is now included in trunk, next version (1.6) will contain dependency on slf4j 1.6.1 which is compatible with 1.7.x.

> I am receiving the following error with Tika 4.0
> SLF4J: The requested version 1.5.6 by your slf4j binding is not compatible with [1.6, 1.7]
> pom.xml file entry:
> <dependency>
> <groupId>org.apache.tika</groupId>
> <artifactId>tika-app</artifactId>
> <version>1.4</version>
> </dependency>

> I have to incorporate tika project with other projects which use 1.7 of SLF4J. Since Tika is not compatible with 1.7, I am not able to run my Tika service.
> Why is Tika using lower versions of SLF4J? What is the workaround?
