[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-16863) Select Versions page: List of stack and stack versions should be numerically sorted

Oleg Nechiporenko created AMBARI-16863:
------------------------------------------

Summary: Select Versions page: List of stack and stack versions should be numerically sorted
                 Key: AMBARI-16863
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-16863
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ambari-web
    Affects Versions: 2.4.0
            Reporter: Oleg Nechiporenko
            Assignee: Oleg Nechiporenko
             Fix For: 2.4.0

It seems that we are using JS inbuilt sort function to sort the stack id shown as tabs and stack versions that are shown under dropdown for each stack.

JS sort function sorts the element alphabetically. This works correctly for single digit numbers like 2.4.2.1, 2.4.2.2, etc but will not work correctly for double digit versions like 2.4.7.0, 2.4.13.0, etc. In that case 2.4.13.0 will be treated smaller than 2.4.7.0

Also we need to consider the case when stack id or repository version has string at the end like 2.3.ECS in which case string should be ignored
