The DocumentNodeStore implementation has a recovery process built in for the _lastRev field on documents. This process kicks in when the implementation detects an unclean shutdown of an Oak instance. The recovery only scans the most recently modified documents to keep it the runtime of the process to a minimum. In some cases it would be good to have a separate tool to run _lastRev recovery on the complete repository.
