   I can understand this, but we (and I would strongly suspect, other Bigquery users) are already using this in production. In the event that it does change in some significant manner, it's a fairly minor change to back out from.
   
   The GCP launch stages documentation [1] says of _Beta_:
   
   > Products will be complete from a feature perspective, but may have some open outstanding issues. Beta releases are suitable for limited production use cases.
