help geronimo

Dear geronimo team,

I have been reading and installing geronimo with this
link

http://chariotsolutions.com/geronimo/installing-custom.html
(only installation)

When i finishied the steps, i run it "java -jar
bin/server.jar".

I got the following result:

D:\Aplication_Server\Apache Geronimo\bin>java -jar
server.jar
Booting Geronimo Kernel (in Java 1.5.0_04)...
Starting Geronimo Application Server
[*********] 100% 9s Startup complete
  Started Application Modules:

  Listening on Ports:

    8443 0.0.0.0 Jetty Connector HTTPS
61616 0.0.0.0 ActiveMQ Message Broker Connector
Geronimo Application Server started (version 1.0-M4)

but, i invoke http://localhost:8080/console/ and got
"HTTP ERROR: 404 /console/login.jsp Not Found".

I need to do another steps?

regards,

new usuario geronimo.

From the startup it shows you are using JDK 1.5. Geronimo currently is
supported on 1.4.2_08 and above. Can you change the JDK and try again ?

Not sure what exactly is the issue. M4 is pretty old. can you try
downloading M5 from http://geronimo.apache.org/downloads.html and give it a
try.
For M5, make sure your JDK is 1.4.2_08 or higher.

FYI: soon Geronimo v1.0 is going to be available.

It appears from the messages that you are running Geronimo M4.

The web console was introduced as a preview in M5 and has been improved
for release 1.0 that is coming out now.

I would suggest that you either pick up M5 or wait to pick up 1.0 as
soon as it is released (very, very, soon).

Hi Roberto,
I would suggest you get a more recent copy of Geronimo from
http://geronimo.apache.org/downloads.html

You can also find additional articles with instruction at the following
site:
http://opensource2.atlassian.com/confluence/oss/display/GERONIMO/Home?showChildren=false

Cheers!
