[jira] [Created] (THRIFT-2206) Cannot install python files in custom prefix

Afief Halumi created THRIFT-2206:
------------------------------------

Summary: Cannot install python files in custom prefix
                 Key: THRIFT-2206
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-2206
             Project: Thrift
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Python - Library
    Affects Versions: 0.9.1
         Environment: Redhat Linux 6.4
            Reporter: Afief Halumi
            Priority: Minor

./configure --prefix=/home/me/
make
make install

Still tries to install files to /usr/lib/python2.7 and fails because it doesn't have permission to write there.
