   so far there is a lot of boilerplate code in defining and exposing functions in Python.

   A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
   
   leverage macros to reduce duplicates
   
   **Describe alternatives you've considered**
   A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
   
   **Additional context**
   Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.
   
   we'll like to have them documented as well
