> As we add new algorithms and improve existing ones to take advantage of things like rack placement, datacenter location, etc, we need to have some framework for understanding tags we put on nodes in order to generate node location hierarchies on the fly. This is especially useful if we plan to incorporate libraries like libcrunch in meaningful ways.
