Expected release date for Tomcat 8.5.5

Hi,


I'm waiting on a bug fix that is currently in Tomcat 8.5.5.dev and would appreciate any guidance on approximately when Tomcat 8.5.5 is expected to be officially released. 

I see that 8.5.5.dev has accumulated quite a few changes but I'm not sure what the trigger for releasing a new version is.

We don't have any official release dates, schedules, or predictions
for Tomcat releases. markt has been the release manager (RM) for the
8.5 series and he's generally been doing a release about every 30 days.

There have been some important changes lately -- see BZ and the dev
list for lots of them -- and I suspect he's waiting until we get lots
of them done before doing another release.

But Tomcat 8.5.x is definitely a priority for the group. Without
promising anything, I think it's safe to say that Tomcat 8.5.5 will be
out "any day now". If you join the dev@ mailing list, you'll be able
to see when the vote goes out for the 8.5.5 release. You are welcome
to test the release candidate yourself and vote (though your vote is
not binding for actual release).

Even non-binding votes are great.
