Use BeanSerializer to serialize URL - possible?

The BeanSerializer read the interface of a Bean (call
all Getters) and serialize all Properties. 
The URL Type can be reconstructed with all information
i can get from the Getters. So, is it possible to
serialize a URL with the BeanSerializer???

How exacly work the BeanSerializer? Does anybody has a
more detailed Documentation from BeanSerializer or
another (De)serializer?
