extension TYPO3 for Openmeetings
Hi all!
As I wrote a few months ago, I liked create an extension for TYPO3.
I google and found this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apDCm5aQOjM
Late arrival.... :)
Where can I download the extension? I searched the archive extension
on typo3.org but I don't found.
Thanks

Hi Sebastian!
I think the difference is the same there is between a simple
videoplayer that needs a tv and a videoplayer with display
incorporated. If someone has a fee for the use of a display (on tv or
on videoplayer), the simple one have to pay anything?
Similary, if the operating system allows you to open a tunnel or run a
software is different than my software integrates the operating system
code to run. The difference is if you use the input/output provided by
the author or code written by the author ..... a gateway between
window, linux and apple, must have license?

That is somehow a strange explenation (but I would accept it too). We
can also distribute our plugin also at apache-extra.org. Just
currently the situation is simply unclear.

Take the apache webserver HTTP for example or any "apache application
xyz". You can't run the software without an operating system. There
simply exists no operating system that is apache license compliant.
How can you claim that "apache application xyz" can run without an
operating system. So you can't bundle "apache application xyz" and
combine with Debian and distribute the ISO as "apache debian ISO XYZ".
But you can distribute the "apache application xyz" as a separated
application even knowing that you can't run it without an operating
system. In that sense every application is just a plugin of a certain
computer system architecture.
In what sense is that different from our plugins that we produce for
Moodle, SugarCRM, Drupal, ...?

Hi Sebastian!
I read your post about the legal status.
I'm not expert on this issue, in my opinion before seen extension code:
I think that the extension uses the classes of TYPO3 and the
webservice of openmeetings. In this way, the extension should be
released under GPL license, because it can only work with TYPO3
software (GPL), but even without Openmeetings, such as another
software with the same webservice interface (not the code).
But I'm not expert.....
Thanks

Hi Roberto,
I'll send you offlist.
The legal status of plugins is not sure at the moment, so there is no typo3 yet.
