[OT] Mail from Rafik Kalash
This is really OT, as in it doesn't regard Subversion. However, since I
believe many of other subscribers may have received this email I decided
to post something here.
I have received an email from Rafik Kalash who's, apparently, Director
of Sales & Marketing at Easy! Software LLC, offering me one of their
products.
Now, this is surely unsolicited email and I also consider it as spam, as
he's trying to sell me something and he has probably sent it to lots of
other people.
Does any of you know how and to whom to report this person and this kind
of behaviour?
Thanks
Giulio

I can't help you there, but I did receive the same email. I responded
letting him know that not only would I not purchase his software, I
would let others know that he is unethical and unprofessional and
suggest that no one do business with his company.
He should certainly be removed from the list and banned from it.

Hi!
The best UK-related resource that a short googling session retrieved is

He mailed me twice and I told him very unpolitely that he broke German law...
and I'm pretty sure US law as well.

I too received this email. I replied to it with "please explain to me
how I can consider this email anything other than spam" but have yet
to receive a reply.
I went to his website and found nothing obviously relevant to
Subversion. I may have overlooked something on the site though.
As for reporting it: There is a "contact us" page at
http://www.easysoftwarellc.com/contactus.html - perhaps an email to
the company's "generic" addresses informing them what this individual
is doing would be of some help? Their HQ is right on my route home
from vacation, I'll be within 10 miles of the building tomorrow. If
only I were able to make a little detour (schedule doesn't permit) and
let them know in person that they're spamming :)
I'm glad you posted this; hopefully this thread will get into Google
results for his company quickly and expose their spam activity.
