Locking files

Hi everybody, 
I am very interested in using Subversion in every development area of my
company, but I need the locking files feature to be able to work with an
integrated IDE like PowerBuilder 9.

I have read in roadmap that locking files is a goal for version 1.2. 
Any idea when would it be avaliable?
